Open registration to B·Debate November 08-09
Josep Maria Haro, coordinator of ATHLOS, and Beatriz Olaya, a project’s researcher, are participating in a 2-day workshop about Bioengineering for Healthy Ageing in Barcelona on the 8th and 9th of November, 2017
The conference ‘Bioengineering for Healthy Ageing. Adding Life to Years’ will highlight the challenges an ageing population will have to face in terms of health and wellbeing and the possible solutions bioengineering can provide. Technology will revolutionize healthcare and assistance to aged people: mHealth, robotics for assisted living, point of care diagnostics and regenerative therapies.
Several international experts on the field will participate in this workshop, and the aim is to generate debate and come out with some key messages.
In order to join this workshop, there is a symbolic fee of 60 euros for the two days, which includes all meals. There is also a free session, on the 9th of November, at 3 PM, which is open to everyone.
Sales ends on November 7 at 12pm.
This B·Debate will discuss how biomedical engineering and regenerative medicine underpins many of the actions required to improve the quality of life of older people. Besides, the speakers will address the growing need for innovative medical technology solutions that contribute to our concept of healthy ageing, such as telemetry, distant-virtual consulting and checking, robotics, intelligent implants, lab-on-chip analysis and advanced sensors.
This B·Debate is an intiative of Biocat and “la Caixa” Foundation co-organized with the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC).
Date: November 8 – 9, 2017
